Zero holds the very best solutions from Dalla Corte and introduces baristas into a “zero limits” dimension to express themselves. Since its pre-launch at Host 2019, Zero has been receiving a lot of attention. Designed by baristas for baristas, it encloses the need for extreme precision, consistency and reliability of the specialty coffee market.
Zero’s futuristic design was carefully studied to highlight Dalla Corte’s core technology: the machine’s rounded body mimics the shape of the boiler inside, while the independent groups are completely exposed from the machine’s main body and surrounded by the brand’s signature grid.
An important part of Zero’s design was finding a way to encourage interaction between clients and baristas — the solution was found by lowering the machine’s height as much as possible in order to reduce the amount of physical barriers.
There are two main water flow control modes to find the perfect balance in your cup of espresso – the Freestyle Water Flow and the Fixed Water Flow.
A strong point of the latest Dalla Corte machines, the Digital Flow Regulation is the technology behind the Freestyle Water Flow mode: the levers on the side of each group are provided with 4 steps, every step is pre-set at a specific flow rate (3-5-7-9 g/s) to create a very unique cup of espresso.
Fixing the water flow is ideal to extract different selections of coffee on the same espresso machine, or to enhance different characteristics from the same coffee beans — with the Fixed Water Flow, the flow rate can be fixed from 3 to 9 grams of water per second throughout the entire extraction.
Zero is equipped with the patented Dalla Corte multi-boiler technology, which has been taken to the next level for the first time since 2001, by increasing capacity to 0.75 litres. The steam wand and the hot water dispenser are both in Cool touch material - a new and improved version of the Dalla Corte Cool Touch technology, without having to worry about anything else. Because safety comes first.
